Highs are gonna be in the low 60's to mid 70's for the next 10 days! Wont be long and the fish will be hitting the banks around here.

Yep. I love it. Been keeping a close eye on the weather and 10 day forecast. Lakes here in the upstate are around low 50s right now. Week or two of 60 and 70 degree days with only 40-50 degree lows should warm it up a bit. I'd give it two weeks and the fishing will be getting good.

yea, we've got a little tournament on March 3oth. I hope it stays warm. They probably wont be on the beds by then, but they'll be close I think.

I've seen several Mar 30 tournaments lately. Which tourney are you fishing? I'm trying to decide if I want to fish a Keowee tourney then or Hartwell tourney. 

it's just a small March of Dimes benefit tournament at camp croft in spartanburg. Just doing it to raise a little money for my buddy's daughter. Mainly just for fun. They're selling hotdogs and stuff afterwards and raffling off some fishing stuff. It's probably only 25 boats or so.

yeah, but just think...down here in July, when it's 105 degrees with the humidity at 100% and you literally taste the air bc it's so thick, you'll be in in Chicago soaking up those 80 degree days.

True but we get that heat here as well and on top of that we the urban heat island thing working against us.  Obviously it is not as hot but last summer we had a lot more 90+ days than anything else. 

My son and I happened to fish @ Croft today.  Looked like a pretty good turnout, good for you guys.  What did it take to win?  Big fish?

I'm with this guy. Im praying for 45 and rain just to get the d**n ice off the lakes... And while its a 105 and 100% humidity down there in south carolina, its 100 and 90% humidity here in August.  Not much difference come that time of year.
