Ufc 158 Who You Got?

St. Pierre vs. Diaz?? I'm a huge Diaz fan back in his Strikeforce days and would love for my boy to do it but can he? What are the odds?

I don't recognize anyone in the undercards any good matchups?

I guess my night is already planned out for me lol. My boy Timothy Bradley defends his welterweight title on HBO boxing( I think) and guess I'll kick back to some UFC as well can't miss the mainevent for sure!! Black Ops 2 have to wait another day! lol

I imagine GSP will take Diaz down for the majority of every round. Diaz needs to pummel people with an accumulation of punches, and I just can't imagine GSP taking a bunch of punches. Diaz also has a slim chance for a submission while GSP is on top, but GSP's jits defense is off the charts. I'm going with a 50-45 decision, but a finish by either of them would be absolutely awesome.

The undercard has 4 of the other 8 top welterweights on the planet on it... should be some great fights!

The Jordan Mein fight was very impressive on the Preliminaries. I love how he escaped the armbar and he showed some nice power in his punches.

Hendricks - Condit fight was definitely the best fight of the night, I think. GSP - Diaz was boring. I'm not a fan of the ground game at all, I think it just makes fights so boring. I like to see punches and kicks with some blood. That's a fight. While a lot of people hate Diaz, I think the trash talking he brings to MMA makes things a bit more exciting. All the talk definitely got me pumped up for the fight...then I started yawning when Diaz basically did nothing and GSP just rolled on the ground with him.

I was happy with the way GSP handled Diaz. I don't mind a bit of trash talking but Diaz is to much for me. Especially trying to throw a punch after the bell. I think he lacks class. I respect his talent but I think he got what he deserved. I agree the Hendricks-Condit fight was the best. I think if it had went two more rounds it would have ended differently.

Can't wait to see GSP-Hendricks. If Hendricks can keep from getting taken down (far from given despite being a National Champion wrestler), I could see him taking out GSP with one of those huge shots Condit took. Condit's jaw is granite, GSP's is average (does an awesome job avoiding punches). A standup fight between these two would be intense. Can't wait!

GSP will take Hendricks down just has he done to everyone he has fought.

I didn't catch the Condit- Hendricks fight but for GSP- Diaz I thought it was ok but as a huge fan of Diaz I was not last night at all. Even his post fight interview I hated him for. It sounded like he was blaming the sport for his loss? But no excuses? Also to be given the respect that GSP gave him doing his interview you go and say thanks to GSP for giving me the respect I think I deserve? Grant it I think he does but I didn't like how he came off. Yes I also did not like the hitting after the bell. That was a clear cheap shot in my opinion.

I didn't catch the Condit- Hendricks fight...

Bro... by far the best fight on the card. Ultracompetitive with Hendricks dominating R1, Hendricks having a small edge in R2, and then Condit taking over in R3. Would have been an awesome 5 round fight with the momentum change and Hendricks looking tired.

Dang NorcalBassin. I was HBO Boxing at that time. I had to watch the Bradley fight. I forgot to say good call on GSP fight. It basically went down as you call it. 5 rounds with GSP taking Diaz down most of each round!! :Copy_of_icon_thumright:

GSP stood with Diaz for two rounds and Diaz still couldnt do much. GSP's wrestling/grappling is just to good.

I personally think Hendricks can stop GSP. GSP showed some fatigue in the Diaz fight that he wont be able to do against Hendricks. Also, Hendricks wrestling is awesome.
