Thanks for the compliments guys!! I really appreciate it, I just finished clear coating these lures and posted them up. Let me know what you guys think!

Jim, yea I have a lot of Createx colors, I used to do a lot of airbrushing on clothes, car & morotcycle parts, banners, signs etc...So when I started painting crankbaits all I had to buy was a few more colors, some more airbrush cleaner, and epoxy.

I do really want to order a set of Pearls & Iridescent colors on jannsnetcraft, I love using these types of paints.

im kinda thinking about getting into lure making. Around how much money did you invested in all that equipment and materials?

Those are nice looking.  I really like the 3rd one.  Question...do you make the actual crankbait itself as well or do you just buy blanks and airbrush them or how does that work?

Hey Joe & Javelin, thanks for the posts &  Im gonna answer both questions in this reply.

Javelin, I've been airbrushing since I was in art school and I've been collecting supplies for years. If you want to get into airbrushing, you need a few fundamentals.

-Art Table & as many createx paints as you can afford along with airbrush cleaner

-Gravity fed airbrush, Paasche,Iwata, Bagder...I use high end Paasche, others use Iwata (both very good).

-Compressor, Preferably 10 gallon or more, in a separate room from where you will paint.

-Moisture trap to catch all the water the compressed air contains.

-Epoxy or moisture cure urethane for clear coat.

PM me and Ill give you a full rundown and try to help you get on your way. you'll need around $500 if you wanna get a serious setup.

Joe, I buy plastic blanks, but am in the process of learning to build balsa & cedar plugs from scratch. If you look at my posts you'll see these lures with clear coat in sunlight.
