An Uncommon Fish

The snook fishing has been very sub par the last few months. Maybe because it was the first day of spring I caught 2 snook.  There are 4 species of snook that I'm aware of, the common snook which is the biggest, tarpon snook, swordspine snook and fat snook.  We seldom see fat snook in our area, caught 2 of them yesterday, I may have caught but 3 or 4 or them in 10 years.  These snook run only about 20", not a monumental fight, pretty easy really, but I was real happy to catch an unusual fish.

Nice man...its always fun to catch something unexpected.

I've only caught 2 of them. Both on the same day.

No picture?

Nope.  No point for a photo of a 5# (if that) fish when you're alone in the middle of the night, can't stretch it out to the camera and make it look like weighs 15#..............
