Anyone Use Fitzgerald Flippin Rods?

Featured Replies

They look like beasts. I noticed they range from 1&1/4-4oz maximum lure weights depending on size. The reviews look great from what I've read.

They seem nice but those itty bitty guides won't work around here very well, to much junk in the water that would clog those in a heartbeat I think. Other then that any rod that goes to 4oz, would fit in just fine around here! :)

I just saw them on TW a couple days ago. They definitly look interesting. Id like to see tackle tour reviews or a reveiw from an unbiased and credible source. (i am not saying that customer reviews arent credible or reliable, they often are quite helpful)

The rods look great too. Def, intrigued.

I use micro guide for flipping here in FL where there is plenty of junk in the water and have never had an issue with them clogging up any worse then regular guides. The tip guide is the smallest guide it stops junk from going any further just like on a normal rod.

I would be interested to see some more info. on them as well in the form of unbiased reviews. I am hoping a few will show up on here to get an idea about them.

I am intrigued, but also a bit confused as to why they list the blanks as simply high quality instead of giving more specific info.

I was looking at them too. I like the look of them but I wasn't going to really consider one for my next purchase until I see more reviews... one on Tackle Tour would be nice.

I punch with a micro guide rod. Nothing is going to clog them, short of ice.

I punch the same stuff you do with only micros and never had an issue.  As far as the fitzgeralds, i've never used them either, but i too am intrigued and would like another punch rod to go with my duckett 7'6" XH

The owner is from around Tampa, 1.5hr north or so. Might have something to do with the Florida buzz......or they could be legit nice rods, maybe a combo of both.

Well guys after using for a short period I really like them , They can take a beating too no matter how hard i try to be gentle with my tackle they still get roughed up. I bought the hydrilla grass flipping stick 7' 6" love it they came out with a new model . I have the skipping rod which is my favorite rod for skipping and swim jig . I also bought the jerkbait rod I only used it twice for a short period it feels great but until i really fish it hard i wont really know . The  one thing i do like is if you have a ? you can call him and ask him anything and he was pretty helpful .
