Umbrella Rig In Muddy Water?

Featured Replies

I'm fishing a tournament this weekend on a lake that looks like chocolate milk. It has rained off and on this week, so I don't expect the water to clear up much by Saturday. I'm taking Thursday and Friday off to prefish, and I'll probably spend a lot of time just searching for some clean water. I plan to attack the lake with my normal, muddy water arsenal of Rat-L-Traps and Colorado bladed spinnerbaits. I'm wondering if anyone has tried an umbrella rig under these conditions? I'm thinking maybe four paddle tail swimbaits with a big spinnebait blade in the middle might stir up enough water to get their attention. Thoughts?

Maybe put a colorado blade on a couple of the wires. That should help it work. I would a Luck e Strike trickster if possible. crazy thump.

I have a lake like that also and i have put colorado blades on them and i think they will be  great!
