Hello everyone! Going fishing today down in Stafford Va, hunting for largemouth and maybe a few snakeheads later in the day, I haven't seen many posts for fishing in that area. Will posts results around lunch time. Conditions are expected to be 65ish and over cast so we'll see! I have cabin fever like crazy so just getting in the boat is a good feeling.

If you are going to be up in Aquia better get your rattle trap ready.  Beat up the gravely banks with the Rat L Trap, studs come out of there every year around this time, should be a lot of fun!  The senko works year around in Aquia as well (try black/blue or watermelon red flake).

Well it was kind of a bust, we were in a 17ft bass tracker and it was high winds so we couldn't go out on the main river due to the 4ft swells, and rain. But at the end of the day there were 2 fish in the boat. Striper 30inchs just over 3lbs and a decent largemouth 28inch 4lbs. Not very productive but atleast we got out.

something doesnt seem right. either your scale or your ruler is severly wrong. or you caught some fish that were once monsters and now severely sick. a 30 inch striper should be well over 3 lbs. and a 28 inch largemouth should be well over 4 lbs

i got a berkley spring scale from wal-mart myself, on average it puts a 20 inch largemouth around 4-5 lbs.

 

and on average it puts a 25 inch striper around 6.5 lbs...
