Using Fishing Map

Featured Replies

This time of year I know that I need to be looking for flats that are close to deep water. On a map what kinds of things should I keep my eye out for I use contour maps like n avionics and fishing hotspots. If anyone has pics or diagrams of specific area I want to look for that would also be helpful

Do you know how to read a topo on land? Its no different under water

Right now main lake points that have transitions but also lead to coves and areas where bass will spawn.   Bass will follow the contour lines and stop at points in order to ambush bait.

fishidy  has an online service somewhat like facebook that combines all of the hot spot information along with maps / contours. You can use it for free as a map service but with a membership you get all of the hot spot information. I would give it a shot.
