This Is What It Is About For Me.

Featured Replies

So I wanted to start bass fishing again because all of my kids express a desire to start fishing. Well one of my daughters got her first bass this afternoon and did it all by herself, on a Texas Rig, with a spinning outfit. Other than me having to go out and unwrap it from some branches she did everything herself. I couldn't be more proud!

Believe me I tried and tried.

Believe me I tried and tried.

I know the feeling. Except....I have boys.....

::edit::

I apologize if that came off as inconsiderate or sexist. I meant that I know the feeling and it is a tougher pill to swallow because I have boys. My older son refuses to lip a fish, while my youngest has ZERo problems tossing around carp lol.

Congrats to you and your daughter!

Ya gotta love seeing the tradition passed on. My girls were into sports, fishing and hunting when they were young.  When they discovered boys that mostly ended.  Now I'm in the process of trying to keep my grandaughters "tomboys" as long as possible.

Congrats!!!!  Always great to see dads spending time with the daughters :D

That's a GREAT Day for you both and Thanks for sharing! We're getting alot of Family Fishing posts here recently and GLAD WE ARE :)
