Featured Replies

I was raised in Westminster SC, and still have my Dad that lives there. Im planning a trip to go back and visit him in the beginning of June. I would really like to get out one day and fish. Since I rarely get down there since moving to Kansas. Problem is, wont be able to bring gear with me. All my rods are one piece, and the van will be packed up with my 3 boys and spousal unit.

Any chance I could hook up for a day of fishing?

Wheres Westminster SC? Im in Orangeburg.

Westminster is a city in Oconee County, South Carolina,

Thats probably 2-3 hours from orangeburg then. Maybe less than 2 hours to get to Lake Murray where i usually fish, well where I try to fish. Haha. Havent had much luck on the lake yet but im trying to figure it out.

Awesome!!! I got family in Anderson. As well as I lived out on 81 for a bit.

If I'm in the state at that time, I'd be happy to take you out too. I'm a student at Clemson, so Keowee & Hartwell are easily accessible. I'm waiting to hear about a job that may take me out of the state for the summer, but if that falls through, I'll let you know and maybe we can hit up the lakes.

NICE!!! Thanks for all the offers guys.  Never really had luck on Hartwell, except down near Foxwood hills bank fishing.  Fished with a friend out by the old Westpoint Stevens plant in Clemson one time.  Didn't do so good.  I have dove Keowee, and would love to fish it.

I Live off 81 south right now, if you never had luck on heartwell its cause you went to the wrong fishin holes.I stay away from the popular areas.... you are guaranteed to catch at least 3 bass every time ya go... sometimes ya catch a lunker other times 1.5-3.5 lbs is all your getting that day. On a side note you have a relative named Brandon Scroggs by any chance?

Nope, But I am to some Scogins, and Ivesters.  Some down near Honea Path, Ivesters use to live in Pendleton but now out off Broadway Lake Rd.

Anyone know about a lake up near Old Cleveland Township, like you're headed toward Toccoa?  Right on the state line with Georgia.  I'm wanting to say it's called "Yawna" or something to that nature.

Lake Louise?

Or you talkin bout Yonah Lake? Edit: same one that connects to tugaloo lake right?

I think it is Yonah. Beautiful mountain lake. Had a bunch of us from work fish it one. Mostly bream at the time. Had a big fry.

Never really thought of it for bass.
