Zoom Magnum Fluke

Featured Replies

Anybody catching fish on these? I have used the super fluke and done well but the magnum fluke does not glide and walk as well. I rig them the same just doesn't seem as good of a bait to me. Any help would be appreciated.

They make a great jig trailer especially on a scrounger jig of your choice.

Throw it T-rigged, weightless. Toss it next to cover and let it flutter down. Same way I fish a Senko. Once it hits bottom, I move it once or twice and if no takers, reel it in and toss to next object.

If you want something a little bigger than the regular size Super Fluke, look at the SK Caffeine shad. It's bigger than a super fluke, but not quite as big as the Magnum Super fluke. Glides, darts, and walks way better than either of the Zooms IMHO, and has a nice "shimmy" on the fall. Heavier plastic too, so you can cast it a mile on casting gear with no added weight. Downside.............uber fragil.

X2.

They last about 2-3 fish at best, but they have the best fluttering action of any fluke I've used. They also hold Megastrike really well.

Price wise, they are well worth it IMO. The Ghost shad and baby bass are my two favorites

I killed the bass on this bait a few weeks ago. I fish it the exact same way as a super fluke. Make sure you use a heavy enough rod and use braid.

I have had good luck with them too but you weed out the smaller fish in most cases so the bites aren't as frequent.

I think they have good action and are effective when bass are keying in on baitfish.
