How Much For Citica E

Featured Replies

A local store has 4 citica e's they never sold, they are $105 right now and will drop in price probably every 2-4 weeks now, so what I wanna know is at what price point do they become too good to pass up?

Last one I bought new was $50

That's not really a great price, but it's not bad.  It's about what they sold for while in production.  If they drop to below $100, you're getting a good deal.  $75 - $85 and you're talking a great deal, and lower than that is almost armed robbery.  Demand has gone up for the E's, and you're not often going to find a NIB Citica E for less than $80.

The Gander near me was selling them last year for $79....well they have them again and guess what? $120...I asked the guy why and he couldn't answer. He said they just keep getting them in....I think the reel is worth the money but after paying $80 it's hard to swallow $40 more....$105 isn't great either but better than $120....

$80 is a decent price for them.  I've seen them as low as $60.

I've got two citica e's. They're not the most refined reel, but a really good workhorse reel. I use one for spinnerbaits/ swim jigs and the other for mid range cranking. Great casting, very smooth (despite the low bearing count), and durable. I'd say around $100 or less is a good deal.

When the E series first came out I got 7 or 8 of them for $80 each at a sportshow.  For $105, I'd bite.  Its about what you'd pay for some of them ebay.  Under $100 would be a great deal but $105 aint bad and if you want one now get one.
