how long ago was the last time you used it? most modern reels and guides are great for braid

10 yrs maybe longer

You should be fine as long as your rods/reels are newer as well.

rods of 10 years ago were fine for braid.

It was the old braided line that was the problem, not the rods. Newer braids are much smoother and won't damage even old rods.

I never had a rod or reel problem form using braid and I've used it almost exclusively for may years.

I've used every secret decoder ring I have to decifer what you said, but I assume your asking if the newer braid will harm your rod and reel.

 

Short answer is no. Ive never had any issues with it. Just watch for wear marks on the guides after hard use.
