Trokar Flipping Hooks

Featured Replies

I am looking to buy some of these hooks, but I am not sure which size would work best with the lures I plan to use. I am looking to use these with 4" Havoc Pit boss and other similar size and type baits. If anyone can help with the best hook size for these baits I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

I use the 5/0 EWG trokars and they fit the pit boss, beaver baits, bifflebug and others perfectly. Solid solid hook sets let me tell you!

I use the 4/0

I hate Trokars. I started to make my own flipping hooks out of VMC trailer hooks or black nickle Siwash hooks. I take a carpender's staple, cut in half and bent to an obtuse angle, attach it to the under side of the hook stank with fly tieing thread, and secure with some JB weld, as well as JB Weld the eve of the hook. Its an awesome keeper, not to mention the hook itself is thicker and stronger than most flipping hooks, as just as sharp.

To answer your question....... 4/0.
