Chatterbait/swim Bait Combo

Featured Replies

Was wondering what size swimbait people use for a 3/8 oz chatterbait or 3/8 oz swim jig as a trailer???

Specifically lake fork live magic shad and or skinny or little dippers.

Any size will work for the most part.  You can always trim it down if the swimbait is too long.  I pretty much always sheer the head off so that it becomes flat or concaved to fit up by the jig head better.

I like the tail to wag the dog (for swimjigs that is); meaning a trailer big enough to wobble/ rock the jighead.

I do the same...

I like trailers that look natural.Real looking eyes and tail. I think that is what the fish focuses on when he is getting ready to kill it. I persoanlly like many of the bass assassin baits for trailers.
