Hey there A-Jay!! You lookin in that Bargain Room again??I been looking at them and the Inshore Legends, those sound like some good buy's, and might work for freshwater. But I have no experience with em and kinda like to know how they are rated as far as power compared to freshwater rods myself???

I was looking in there Capt B, but it's the travel rod I hunting down and I didn't see them there.

Looking to pick up a couple to bring on my next trip to Baccarac.  Dragging the full size rod tube is just not going to happen any more.

I did talk to a St Croix service rep and of course he thought that the MH rods would be perfect.

They only have 2 left but at the bottom of the page with the #3 at the end of the model # are Travel the MLF seems to be rated the same as a Medium Fast freshwater rod. This was the link. Probably a little light for your needs.   http://www.stcroixrods.com/shop/catalog/Saltwater-24-1.html#

I have a buddy who recently got the MLF 3 piece Tidemaster.  Its a sweet rod but it is definitely nowhere near a medium and likes line and lure weight in the lighter end of its designed parameters.  Not an all purpose rod at all but a great crankbait or 1/4oz topwater rod.

I have the 70MLF and 70MF one-piece spinning models I use for inshore fishing. They're great rods for that purpose but are quite a bit slower in action than bass gear.

I will say that the quality, fit and finish of the rods is top-notch as you'd expect from St Croix.

Do you have any stores nearby where you can at least get your hands on the one-piece models?
