Which one should i buy the bbz 1 shad or the bbz 1 trout ?

I'd go for the shad.

I've caught fish on the shad & the BBZ-1 Swimbait 6" in slow sink/Blue herring. My pref is the 6" BBZ.

I still can't get used to the Shad & it's windmilling.

Guess I'm a glutton for punishment. :-/

Two totally different baits, not even the same world. If your newer to swimbaits I would go with the 6in bbz1. It still has some of the drawing power of a big bait and its small enough to get numbers of fish with that possible kicker. Plus you don't need a swimbait rod to throw it. I have caught a ton of fish in the 2-5lb range on this bait so far this year.
