Does anybody make their own scents?

If so can you share how you make them?

I have made my own bass scent for about a month and have learned from this video

Most fats get rancid after a while, even vegetable oils.  I use petroleum jelly because it last for years without the rancid smell.  I mix what ever I want with it and smear it on the baits with a tool that I made.

I used to purchase some Anise from my local grocery store, and mix it into some vegetable oil, and put it in

a spray bottle for bass.  I don't know why you couldn't do that with other concentrated scents.  Another scent

I use to purchase is Bunker, and cod liver oil.  We used to use them on tuna lures.  All that is just fish.  I don't

know why cod liver oil, and bunker wouldn't work on bass.  It does smell, thats for sure.

could you just throw some coffee grounds in your bags of plastics? I realize they would wash off as soon as the bait gets wet, but would think the bait would hold some residual scent?
