What Do Bass See In A Black Jig?

Hey what do bass see in a black jig? I can see brown green blk n blue can look like bluegill...crawfish but what about an all black bass jig?

Its more so used (all black) in muddy water or at night because it creates a contrast or outline if you will that the bass can find easier.

Its not really about the color. Its more the profile and action resembling a crawfsh. I've never fished black in clear water but in dirty water you want a really dark hue so its easier for them to see and zero in on. Plus when fish see a color thats a lot different from what their eating it can draw a reaction strike.

Color also "disappears" in deep water, as less light penetrates, so you think you are fishing a green pumpkin worm on a shakey head in 25' of water and it really is just another shade of gray, purple is the last color to turn grey in the water column
