Okay heres what i did I took some small ZIP-TIES and sinched them down to a diameter a bit smaller than my worms i use for my wacky rigging... I then just snip the tag ends and super glue the part were the connection of the ring is to make sure it will not sinch down more and there you go! a wacky ring for wacky rigging it works just like the rubber O-rings but they are stronger and more durable only downside is theres a bump in the ring since the connection is held from the little box thing that the tag end goes thru to make the zip ties able to loop and sinch down on something. Its easy to make if you have the time to make em!

What do you guys think of this? i used a few and landed bass of all sizes and some 2 pounders as well! works the same acts the same and performs the same as a O-ring the worm goes out wayy before the wacky ring will ever wear out!

I vote no.

O-rings are very easy. Even rubber hair bands seem easier. But, if you like them, that's all that counts... just don't try to sell them.

    The zip-tie doesn't have the elasticity of a o-ring, so it changes the action, if I'm not mistaken...

actually the zip ties has no effect to the action its wideness is like just having 2 O-rings on maybe even just one... only way it can effect action is if the wideness of the zip tie was like the same length of the worm being wacky rigged or half of it

elasticity has no effect on the action what so ever because the rig is to have something jerk the center of the worm to make both ends of the worm bend inward the elasticity will just stretch but also just make it bend inward

that's also why my idea makes the more durable no stretch which means no stress to break it plus its made of pretty hard plastic only way to break one is to cut it or yank it so hard the connection gives away but then no plastic lure has enough strength to do so

I started to do this now too. The last couple of weeks my whacky worms last 4x as long

Just go ahead and do the 3/8 shrink tube, trust me they will talk you into it. They did me and now I got worms already to go!!
