Falcon boxes

Featured Replies

I am looking at getting either the spinnerbait box or the spinnerbait/buzzbait combo.  I only have a few buzzbaits; can the buzzbait compartments on the combo hold spinnerbaits?

I should have been more specific.  I am trying to decide between the 701 and 703.

Save your money, my 700's only have one latch on them because the rest broke, these boxes are not very durable, and don't do a very good job of doing what they are supposed to. If you fish from a boat, get a cook's go-to tackle system, they rock!!

Do Buzzbaits work on that also?

Absolutely, jigs also work.

I have had absolutely no problems with my Falcon boxes any of them. The spinner bait box and buzz bait boxes work flawlessly.  Either one is good and so is the combo box.

Can we go back to my original question - will spinnerbaits work in the buzzbait compartments on the buzzbait/spinnerbait combo (703).

No.

I have the 701 and use it for spinerbaits and buzzbaits. I've had it for 2 or 3 years, no problems with the latches. Trailer hooks do get tangled up, though. Also, sometimes the skirt strands will get under the lure next to it, so you have to move one bait to be able to get out the one you want to use.

Hi guys, New to the site so this might have been addressed before but what does everyone use for storage bags with their Falcon boxes.  I know they'll fit in any 3700 bag but was wondering if there's anything specific to the Falcon boxes and would preferably hold 8 or so boxes.  Thanks, Matt

Since I haven't had either the 701 or 703 in my hands to see how the compartments are made, can someone explain why buzzbaits will work in the spinnerbait compartments, but spinnerbaits won't work in the buzzbait compartments?

Matt, Falcon used to make a V6 and V12 Speedbag for their boxes. You can look for one on ebay or the swap/sell. My V12 will hold 8-9 of the thinner FTO boxes. I have no experience with the current Plano FTO bags. They are on Plano's website if you want to have a look.

You can't put spinner baits in the buzz bait holders and vice versa.  The holders are completely different.

The BPS Extreme Qualifier 370 bag should work just fine for you.

Thanks for the ideas guys.  I did find a couple of the Falcon bags on ebay.

This is why I asked::

I slide the buzzbaits in just like the spinnerbaits and they stay upright. On the 703, on the buzzbait side it looks like the buzzbaits lay over on their sides.
