I picked up one of the Rapala digital scales at Target for $17, it's pretty accurate, at least up to 5 lbs.  I hung a 5lb weight on it and it was dead on.  Only problem is it reads pounds, like 1.23lbs, rather than pounds and ounces.  I did step on it last week, not sure how accurate it is now, but I haven't caught anything since then worth weighing.

I looked into digital scales as well and got a boga grip for a birthday present recently.  I couldn't have been more ecstatic.  The scale is accurate and helpful with those toothy fish like pike.  Also, every review on the digitals I have read there are issues surrounding reliability and durability.  Instead of buying a couple of scales during a lifetime, this boga will be it.  I usually make the mistake of going cheap in an attempt to find value.  In this case, I would not recommend buying a cheap scale.
