2012 Roadtrip! Be There!
Very true Rhino, Val Monte should have stepped up and ATLEAST called you Long MIke to tell you to replan accommadations. Extremely poor handling on the part of Val Monte. Returned your PM Long Mike.

Torn Between 2 Rods
I have some St. Croix LTB, and some dobyns champs. Both are great, have about the best C.S. around and great warrany's. (don't have the new LTB though) I think the LTB is more sensitive than the champ, but the champ usually balances better. I think that is the biggest differances to me between the 2. Either is going to be a great rod. Try to put hands on both and see which feels better to you(handling wise). It will probably come down to personel preference and which you find a better deal on. I personally give the St. Croix a slight edge, but both brands are my favorite 2 rod companys.

Which Reel? And Rod Opinions Too
For reels, the curado is a very good reel if your fine with not having a 6.? ratio. The STX revo is a very good reel, i think much better than the sx. Seem like I saw them around $150.00 somewhere. I have both and like both, have had no issues with either, but I lean toward abu's. Rods, I can't get on the loomis bandwagon. I tried their crankbait tods and a nrx, sold all. For a less expensive quality rod, like mentioned above the powell's are great. For a little more than that, St. Croix is a great company and the LTB is a great rod. Most of what you'll hear is personal preferance, after a certain price point most rods do very well and it comes down to prefeance.

Opinion On Bc Reel?
BPS Pro-Q is a great reel especially when on sale(happens often). The Caneen from shimano is a nice reel also for the money. Don't own or used a citica, so I can't say there. From opinions from alot of other guys, any 1 of the 3 mentioned would be a good choice.

Looking For A New Rod
For the money, and labor day sale discount I think the Powell will be your best bet. Probably the best rod for their price range and below. St. Croix for that 100.00 mark, consider the Mojo bass. It's not a bad stick.

Labor Day Sale
Has anyone got a email from BTD about a labor day sale? I know TW usually waits till like friday to start, but BTD usually happens mid-week right? Wondering if mine might have got blocked or something.

Hey guys, just back from Fork last night. Trip cost ran more than expected.(Didn't catch much either)I won't be able to make the trip to moors atleast not for the stay like I expected. May try to come up monday morning for the day though. Don't know If I'll run into anyone though, since I'm sure all will already be on the water. So If ya happen to see a fella in a red triton that looks lost up on those Ky waters, that may be me.
