Pro Qual's drag power?
I believe it is 8 or 10lbs. Someone in another thread said 8 though.

Hunt Fiish Bid?
Don't know if this is the right place to post this? But I just noticed this. Has anyone got anything from there yet? Read something about a charge on top of your winning bid.

Favorite Fluoro?
I've only used BPS XPS, seagur invisX, and Berkley vanish. I have no complaints with the invisX, and XPS. The vanish broke too often.

BPS Pro Qualifier Tournament Reel???
I think the only drawback on any of the BPS reels, is the drag. Which can be corrected with carbontex drags for a revo, so I been told.

Lure company seconds???
Sorry, I was mainly referring to crankbaits...

Lure company seconds???
Is there a place that you can buy seconds from lure companys? Mainly talking about lures that the finish might a have a blemish in it? Surely not every lure comes out within specs.

Polarized Lens tints???
Looking to get another set of quality glasses. Probably costa del mar's, maybe oakley's. Anyway, wanting to know what would be the better lens choice for fishing.(sight fishing). Thinking in the oakley's about the shallow blue? Costa's would be the 580 lens(glass or new poly?) what is the better choice?

Johnny Morris Gold?
If your going to stay in that 100.00-120.00 price range, go ahead and order the Pro-Q. It's out of state so you won't pay tax. Wait around a little and ya my find BPS running a sale on it. About a month ago it was on sale for $70.00. It is a fine reel, plenty of guys on here will work on them IF ya did have some trouble with it(of course thats after the BPS warranty expires which I think is a year). Very good reel for the money.

Johnny Morris Gold?
I have a few of the pro-Q's. I don't know if their is much difference in the pro-q and JMgold. I have said this a few times now. I am extremely happy with the pro-q's and would buy them and save the difference. If your going to spend more, get a revo or curado. My .02

Crankbait rod
Probably, as long as you stay under say13-14 feet. If you are going to throw deep cranks, 15+ I think you better move up to the big cranker (ltbc70mhm). As far as other rods, and this one may be a better choice if you dont mind length. The Dobyns 804cb. There is a tread going on right now about it. I'm thinking of sending my 805cbrm back and swap for a 804cb. The 805 is ideal for deep cranks only, the 804 is better suited to handle the mediums and still handle the deep cranks too. I hope it has just a little more give than the 805.

Dobyns 805 vs 804?
I just bought the 805cbrm, I had e-mailed dobyns, and richard responded. He said this, if you are going to throw deep divers only or 80% of the time go with the 805. If ya going to throw med. and deep divers go with the 804. I'm thinking of sending the 805 back to swap for the 804, just cause I think I might like it better, cause I may be using it for med. cranks too, but mostly for deeps. So I'm still up in the air?????

Anyone try the Reese Victory Baitcasting Reel???
If your looking for a under 100.00 reel, go with the BPS Pro-Q. Many discuccions on this and I don't think there's a better reel in that range. I wouldn't buy any reel other than that till I hit the 150.00 mark.

Best rod for under $100
I'd say the veritas are a top pick, also as mentioned before I think the new gary loomis rod by TFO may be worth looking at. But I am surprised no one has mentioned Lamiglass EXcel series. Very light, very sensitive, and nice looking. Good warranty, and made in america. I have a couple and love them. Also worth mentioning is the Falcon Buccoo's.

Lucky Craft Rick Clunn 1.5 series?
X2 Also looking forward to the S.K. KVD's and Xcalibers this spring.

Spro McStick any good
I can't fault a company for making a similar bait to others or even if they tried to copy it exactly. With so many companys, how can you expect them to be original with each type of bait, and expect it to work well? Even if it's "copied" I don't think it will have the exact same action, maybe that will make it a better bait, worse, or maybe just better if different situations.

Swimbait rod suggestions?
.Gohti. I got one of the J raggo BVD's from TW, which Vlevick said was one of the few he didn't tinker with out of the package(course it's his sig. line bait). Not sure about the color I got though(litch hitch). I plan on trying this swimbait thing too on KY.
-
Swimbait rod suggestions?
That was what Velvick said he uses/recommends for that weight swimbait. Also, do most of you guys like a rod with a mod action like a crankbait rod, or a xf action with just a softer tip?
-
Swimbait rod suggestions?
Just sat in at a seminar. One class was B. Velvick on swimbaits. For that size bait he uses the Duckett micro guide model that is full cork handle, 7'6" I think it said ex hvy. He has a signature model coming out which may be picking it out easier, but I think as long as you get the full cork handle model in 7'6" hvy or ex hvy and it's the he uses. I'm in the market for one too.

Braid on spinning reels opinions
I'm thinking of trying some braid on 1 of my spinning reels. Whats some opinions on that. I assume there isn't much issue of memory. Considering spiderwire ultracast (invisibraid and a new one that sinks like fluro?) Fireline crystal, and maybe the new suffix 832.
