  1. Ill be there with my wife. looking forward to it.
  2. How would you guys say they are to a cumara, cara, dobyns champion or savvy? Some of what I considering. (frog,pitchin/flipping)
  3. Thanks guys, I think I'll try the suffix performance. Good price for what ya get. I liked the tackle tour review, and I think the suffix suits me better. Going to try the 50 lb., wish they could do something with the line color issue. I hate cleaning guides and etc any more often than I have to.
  4. Looking to get some braid, but still learning about it. Do all braids have a color residue that comes off and stains reels and boat sides? Read a article that it slowly rubs it's color off and stains reels and boats finishes. Would like to avoid that type of braid if possible, what are some things to consider when picking braid? :-?
  5. Was wondering what some of you guys thought of this rod, and in comparision of others you've used that are in that level of rod.
  6. Pro qualifier is a great real, espeically for 80.00
  7. Curious, why the revo over the curado? drag power, braking?
  8. Looking to get a set-up for flippin and pitchin (and double as a frog rod too). I was wondering what reel might be better suited. One with mag brakes or one with centif brakes? I have been considering the curado 200e7. any thoughts guys...
  9. I C&R most of my bass, when I go i'll keep a limit or however many keeps i catch of crappie. However, i recently read a article (Bassmaster newspaper i think) that removing some of the smaller bass can improve a fishery. It was a biologist that wrote the article, and I believe he was encouraging people to do so.
  10. I've tried both yo-zuri and p-line. I prefer yo-zuri. It's not expensive, and is great line. I've tried 10 and 15#.
  11. mine took about 5-6 weeks, very happy with them. Just sent in another rebate for the zaks. Great deal. Get a great reel, and a free pair of good sunglasses to boot.
  12. I like my mojos. I have 1 spinning and 1 casting. I think in that price range it's a very good rod, as is the Bucoos, and vendettas. I would like to try the excels, just none in my area to handle. I think it will boil down to your own preference. They all have small differences even amoung the same actions(techniques). You might like a certain mojo model, and prefer a bucoo for some other technique.
  13. I feel better that it wasn't just me having that same trouble.
  14. I've been using it on my spinning reel (8lb.) and I don't like it. I've had too many breaks. Mostly when setting the hook. I'm using a 7ft med action mojo rod. I'm going to try berkley transoptic next. I've got it on a baitcaster also, so far i don't have any complaints, but When I respool again, I'll go back too yo-zuri hybrid or BPS excel mono on that one.
  15. O.K. One of the charger gurus speak up here. I just put a minn kota on board charger in my boat (5 amp per bank). I don't run gel batteries, is this a alright charger?
  16. What days might they show up? I was gonna try to come the latter part of the rally. Tues eve. on, I'd hate to miss those guys by a day or two.
  17. water 42, no line. Was just checking how it sat.
  18. I thought the pointers were suppose to sit nose down in the water, I was messing with mine and they don't. So I'm assuming they are not suppose to, correct???
  19. I don't think any of the 3 is bad. With that said, for $10.00 more abu is coming out with a nicer rod late summer. Seen it at the classic, and it's preety nice. I have only fished with mojo's. I like them, all around good rod. I have handled the Vendettas, and like some one said, they are a little stiff. Also, the bucoos seem to be a little underated at each of falcons power ratings, but very sensitive. If ya can, I suggest holding each one, and buy the one that suits your technic for each rod. ya may end up with 1 of each brand or at least 2 of one brand. I plan on picking up a bucoo later, and waiting for that new abu.
  20. Local oil company (bp gas) says they have ethenol free gas but its marathon gas. I usaully try to burn better better quality fuels, and I always took marathon for cheap gas. So I'm reluctant to use it. Is there any gas gurus out there that can say it's a crap fuel or decent to good fuel? Or, know of a gas station that has eth free gas that is a premium gas in the Clarksville(Tn) area or Ky Lake area?
  21. That monkey whopped my a$@! But got some good deals, and was just a fantastic event. Wish I knew of the new SHO demo ride goin on at the launch site, would've liked to seen how bad those are.
  22. That was a awesome event. I practicly didn't didn't even meet any pros (about 3). But the event was so cool. I have never been to anything like that in fishing before. Great deals, and just to see all the stuff. Wish Lamiglass would have been there though, but got hands on about every other rod I was interested in.
  23. Don't let her get to into it, then she'll see how much all those "neccessities" cost...
  24. As far as new guys trying to break out into the tourny scene and it being out of their reach money wise. If the boats we fish out of were not half the cost of our houses, we'd (not to mention our trucks) we could buy any and as many rods and reels as we wanted. Still, I love being at a loss for what $100.00 rod to buy... ;D
