Has anyone tried the river2sea cranky m's? I just picked up a couple at the boat/fish show, have'nt tried them yet. I love my RC 1.5 and 2.5's though, they are my favorite right now. I hoping that new tom. shad color does well, aint got a chance to use it yet either.

Linda Colt leaves Lowrance
I have not had any issues as of yet to call Lowrance, but from all the good things i have heard about Linda Colt, I e-mailed the above people to express my concerns about not holding on to a employee with such a great reputation, and years of service and experience with a company.

Used Shimanos????
Hey guys, I'm a little interested in picking up a couple older shimanos. But I don't know much about the older ones. I know the curado and chronarchs are better end reels, but the model numbers are unfamilar to me. I'm wanting to keep a eye out for a good deal, on one that has a reputation for being a extremely good real, and sending it off for repairs/cleaning whatever, and maybe one of those "supertunes". Anyway, can someone tell me the models to keep a eye out for? thanks...

Advice on vendetta rods for specific techniques.
I have not used one, but have seen them at BPS. They seem to be a noticable bit stiffer than other rods of the same actions. Anyone else think this?

I may try to come with my wife. I have a question about the fees. Will I have to pay one for both of us, or just if she wishes to get the goodie bag and attend the banquet?

Map Chips
I'm looking to order a navionics chip for hds. But I was wondering is their better map chips that are less known? I hate that the tn map is seperate from all the other south states > So I may also get a less expensive one to cover those areas, or maybe get the older navionics in that area.

BPS Pro Qualifier or BPS Extreme
I have a PQ and so does my wife. We've had them since last spring, and so far I have nothing but good things to say about them. As long as they hold up well, I say the PQ is a excellent deal for $100.00 and even that much better when on sale. Have not used a citica or revo s so can't compare those. Love my curado and revo sx,stx's but a much higher priced real. Since Shimano and Abu usually run higher for a "good" real, should it be a concern for the quality of there more competitive reels like the citica and revo s? Seeing BPS isn't really a "brand name" a reel in the citica price range could be a bit better reel since your not buying that name. Thats just a thought, someone with more expertise in that area please comment. I am considering one of the above reels for my wife, but wonder should I just get another PQ, or spend some extra and get a revo sx? She's not as serious as I am about fishing, but I'd like her to have another good set-up.

on board battery chargers
I got one of those minn kota onboard chargers. Now that my boat is sitting for most of the winter, is it ok to leave the charger plugged in? I know it has a trickle charge to maintain batteries, during in between trips, but is ok for winter storage?

Lake Fork Trip???
Looking to make a trip to lake Fork maybe in april. Never been, never been to TX either. So, I was looking for some advice on area hotels/resorts, marinas, and just some advice in general from some folks that fish there. I understand there are a lot of stumps, is the lake deep/shallow. Should I be extra careful running down the lake, don't want to tear my boat up on water that looks ok, but out of no where turns shallow. Maybe some ideas on lures/colors, and general areas that hold bass. Actually any advice is helpful. Taking my wife, I want her to catch atleast a 6lb. bass. I'd like to go over 10 but just a good couple days of TX's avg size will be cool.

Rod action Suggestions
I just read a little on the Lamiglass excel, anyone thought on those. Seems to be so many moderately priced rods now that deliver great performance. We needed that, but now which do you try. Ah heck lets buy 3 of all........

Rod action Suggestions
Looking to get a new topwater/jerkbait rod if one is good for both styles. I'm considering a St croix mojo that is a 6'8 M XF or the Skeet 6'8 mf. Which action and power is better suited? Same question for a flippen/pitchin rod, Mojo 7'6 mh mf or a vendetta rod with 7'6 mh f. Also could I use a pitchin rod for frogs too? trying to get some input on action and power, feel free to suggest other rods say $150.00 or less. The $90.00 price is better though

New Crankbait rod
I'm also looking for a crankbiat rod for deep divers. Figured on getting a glass rod. Surprised no one suggested the KVD rod for $150.00 IS it overrated? Thought about the Skeet S-Glass but it slighty underrated for heavy crankbaits, is it that big of deal though?

Knots?
I know search, but it came up no results for "fishing knots"???? Anyway, looking for a site that gives a description and use for some of the top knots. Example, FC to bait/hook, braid to hook/jig, etc. and how to tie it.

No more WBT
I'm with nitro, I'm just your average weekend fisherman, and I'd be tickled to have a pro go to the lake with me and teach/school me on the water male or female. There's lots of big bass in KY lake, they just hide well from me. ;D I was surprised to hear this though, I thought the WBT was doing well. Maybe BASS will have a change of heart next year if they catch enough grief over this???

Braided lines??
I haven't used braided lines since they first came out. I got back into fishing last year, so I'm wondering how these new braids are. Looking to maybe use some for pitchin/flippin and frogs. Is there much concern for guides and braid now, and how the braid lays on or peels off the reel? Basically pros and cons of the new braids guys, and maybe some opinions on brands. Thanks in advance...
