Welcome Ladies! Introduce yourself!

I want to personally welcome all the women who are here to check out this forum. More and more women turn to bass fishing every year as a form of relaxation, family time, and even competition. I've long welcomed this trend, and opened our Women's Fishing Section years ago in an effort to help grow this burgeoning share of the bass fishing community. With the LBAA and growth of the WBT, and the world witnessing the first woman in the Bassmaster Classic, I felt we were well on our way.

Then the WBT abruptly ended with no warning, and little explanation.

From the ashes of the WBT come great learnings. While the pundits ponder why it failed, and pointed fingers at those that closed the trail, I took a different route and looked at what I could do differently to help encourage more women to participate in the wonderful sport of bass fishing.

I'm fortunate to be married to a former WBT participant. Through her eyes, and through the numerous conversations she's had with other female pros, I soon learned there really is no place where women can collaborate, meet new friends, help each other find partners to share lodging at tournaments, find travel partners, and much, much more. Missing too was a central location where women can promote the sport and help new lady anglers get involved.

In short, there just wasn't a central locations where all women interested in bass fishing could meet and learn from other like-minded women. Until now...

I'm pleased to offer these forums as a place where women can meet, greet, collaborate, learn, and make new friends in the bass fishing community! If you're just starting out or are a seasoned pro, we welcome you all!!

Introduce yourself below!

Hey All!   I'm Tiffany. I've been into fishing for about 4 years or so. If I'm fishing, I'm typically looking for largemouth. I started out dock fishing right off my families dock in Sodus Bay, NY.

  • I live in Oklahoma and outfish my husband and his friends regularly if not always. I live to catch black bass and love to eat crappie and catfish. Any other Oklahomans out there?

Welcome to all,

This is just a start but we need to bring all of us together and start talking about information in one location. Lodging, team mates, pre-fishing partners and more, sign up and introduce yourself, ask questions or create a thread about a topic of interest.

We welcome any suggestions so just PM me and I'll run with it.

Welcome again and we can make a differance.

I forgot to mention Angler Choice is very interested in a 2011 Women's tour.

I believe a representative will be at Kentucky Lake in May. Please PM me if you're interested in taking their survey. :)

Just wanted to say congrats, hope this one does well.

I just noticed this section added.  Welcome aboard ladies and great job Glenn/Keri for adding this to the site.

My wife is very good at bass fishing, so I am used to being schooled by a woman. I tend to complicate things, while she stays focused on what she is doing. :-[

Welcome aboard ladies. Thanks Glenn and Carrie for this forum and everything else on this site.

A big welcome to all the ladies.  Hope to see more!

Terrible idea if you ask me. You Don't want these people to have another gathering place, messing up our forums and such. Plus, i don't want to get showed-up on the lake by some GIRL. So...STOP IT!! just kidding ladies, welcome and enjoy this happy place, and don't be afraid of the other forums too..later

How cool is this?  Goo job Glenn and Keri for adding this to the site.  :)

First, THANKS to Glenn and Keri for recognizing the need for this.

Hi, I'm from SW Kentucky and have been tournament fishing KY and Barkley Lakes for 17 or so years now.  I fish with a ladies club locally and Greg and I fish a couples club too.  Occasionally we will fish other tournaments as well.

When not fishing a tournament, I love to launch the Ranger and get out in the front yard (Blood River) as much as possible.
