I'm with you. I see these boats with four or five 16" monitors at the helm and the front deck and realize that's $15k plus just in monitors. I'm happy with the 9" and 7" I have on my boat.

So I have several 1-gallon zip lock bags for my plastics in a compartment in my boat. I have some of my plastics in sleeves, inside zip pouches that hold several sleeves. Are there any other storage/organizing systems for a boat compartment that makes a bag storage easy to organize for quick-grab plastics?

This company ended up in my feed recently. Anyone try one yet? I hardly get out, so it makes zero sense to spend $5k on a propellor personally.

So I called Ranger parts. I should have done this from the get-go... The color of my carpet is not charcoal. It is Ash, Platinum 2, and is also not 20 oz it's 24 oz. I ended up paying less than what I was going to pay for the inferior carpet from Amazon. Should be here in a couple of weeks. I would have been fine with the carpet I was going to get from Amazon, but everything happens for a reason I suppose.

After 10 years they need to be replaced. I found out the hard way. No one would fill my propane tank a few months ago when I needed it for a bbq. It had been a while since I used my gas grill since I was mostly using my BGE.

I ordered new Mustang PFD's through Western Marine over the holiday weekend. They were 44% off!

So I ordered some carpet from Amazon. 20 oz charcoal for $70. Also glue for the installation. I'm only needing to do one of the compartments so it shouldn't be too difficult of a job.

I've ordered samples from a couple places to see if it's a good enough match. Since it is just the compartment carpet, as long as it's close, I'm good with it. I've read in a few places that Ranger boats now use 24 oz carpet rather than 20 oz. Does anyone know when they switched?

Guys, I've had my bass boat in storage for the last 5 years or so. I recently took it out and had it detailed. Thank goodness it had the cover on it, it looks practically new. One small problem. Mice got into two of the compartments, so I need to replace the carpet from those compartments. Where is the best place to buy OEM Ranger carpet?

Goo gone is working. It's going to take some elbow grease. I'll locate some 90% alcohol and try that as well.

Thanks guys, I tried alcohol to no avail. Also tried baking soda pasted and nothing. Goo gone is a consideration.

Hi guys, I'm cleaning some of my old rods and noticed a couple of my Megabass rods with the 'soft touch' reel seats have started to break down, leaving a gummy/tacky reel seat. There has to be a fix for this?
