Super User Redlinerobert Posted May 10, 2024 Super User Posted May 10, 2024 Guys, I've had my bass boat in storage for the last 5 years or so. I recently took it out and had it detailed. Thank goodness it had the cover on it, it looks practically new. One small problem. Mice got into two of the compartments, so I need to replace the carpet from those compartments. Where is the best place to buy OEM Ranger carpet? 1 Quote
Super User Solution MN Fisher Posted May 10, 2024 Super User Solution Posted May 10, 2024 Marine Carpeting has pre-cut kits for quite a few Ranger boat models. https://marinecarpeting.com/pre-cut-bass-boat-kits/ranger/ 1 Quote
airshot Posted May 10, 2024 Posted May 10, 2024 I can't wait for my carpet to get worn out so I can get rid of it !! While it looks good, it is not a boat owners friend.....vinyl is so much more user friendly in my opinion... 2 Quote

Best place to buy Ranger carpet is from Ranger if you want it right. At least that’s what my thought process was when I recarpeted my Ranger a few years back. 1 Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted May 13, 2024 Author Super User Posted May 13, 2024 I've ordered samples from a couple places to see if it's a good enough match. Since it is just the compartment carpet, as long as it's close, I'm good with it. I've read in a few places that Ranger boats now use 24 oz carpet rather than 20 oz. Does anyone know when they switched? Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted May 30, 2024 Author Super User Posted May 30, 2024 So I ordered some carpet from Amazon. 20 oz charcoal for $70. Also glue for the installation. I'm only needing to do one of the compartments so it shouldn't be too difficult of a job. 1 Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 4, 2024 Author Super User Posted June 4, 2024 well. Today I received notification that my order was cancelled. Thanks, Amazon! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 5, 2024 Author Super User Posted June 5, 2024 So I called Ranger parts. I should have done this from the get-go... The color of my carpet is not charcoal. It is Ash, Platinum 2, and is also not 20 oz it's 24 oz. I ended up paying less than what I was going to pay for the inferior carpet from Amazon. Should be here in a couple of weeks. I would have been fine with the carpet I was going to get from Amazon, but everything happens for a reason I suppose. 3 Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 11, 2024 Author Super User Posted June 11, 2024 Carpet arrived yesterday. That was fast! Looking forward to tackling this little project over the weekend. I've not opened up the package to confirm a color match. Quote
