Frog Rod Suggestions
I just bought a excel frog rod, have'nt used it much but I do like it. Seems pretty light to me, but then again I wasn't using any high dollar rod like a loomis before. I think the whole line of excels are great rods for anything at the $150.00 range

Lamiglass Excel opinions
I bought a excel spinng rod ealier this year and love it. I just bought 2 casting rods a couple weeks ago. Fantsic rods, there is NO rod at the sale price that is equal to them. Like all others, I'd say it competes in the $150.00-180.00 range. Have been very impressed with them.

Help with choosing a split-grip rod!
Again, get the excel. While it's on sale, if ya didn't like it. Ya can sell it later and not lose much if any money on it, and someone WILL want it. I don't think you'll want rid of it though.

Glass Rods
I bought the magnum Skeet rod and don't like it. I don't like casting with it, it seems to cause me backlashes cause of the whipy tip,I have to keep that in mind when casting it. So I'm going back to graphite for deep cranks. plus it's really heavy. Maybe the Lamiglass excel or dobyns glass is better, but after the skeet rod, I'm sceptical.

Rod recommendation
Add the Lamiglass Excel to your list. It's on sale at TW right now for $79.00 Darn nice rod all the way around, even at the regular $110.00 mark.

Help with choosing a split-grip rod!
Strongly consider the lamiglass excel. There fairly light, sensitive, look good, and on sale at TW. I believe made in USA, if that matters to ya, and they look good too. I'd say they were on par with most $160.00 rods. I was very impressed with my spinning rod, I have bought 2 casting rods since.

Crankbait rod opinions
I like the excel series, but I have had a Sheet mag crank rod and have found that I don't like the glass rods.

Skeet Reese Wright & McGill Rods.................
Best rod for the money? I'd have to disagree. For that price range you can get a abu vendetta, veritas, or a lamiglass excel. I really like the Excel's. Light, and very sensitive. I have both skeet crankbait rods, and I don't care for them. Not saying there junk, I have found that I don't like the glass rods. The skeet rods when they first came out couldnt be kept on the shelves. I don't think their selling that well now, even the new honeycomb edtions.

Ideas on should i get a Johnny Morris Reel?
I dont see any need of a BPS reel above the Pro-Q. If spending more than that go with a abu or shimano. The pro-q's are great and I can't see any other BPS being better.

New Abu Rod??
What happened to the new Abu rod? The white one Ike is suppose to be testing. I think it was called verotis or something like that. Showed it off at the classic. Suppose to have been ready for ICAST. I seen they had a another one with the telescopic handle.

Strike King Crankbaits-VERY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had a similar deal with luckycraft. Had some baits tear up pretty fast, e-mailed them and they sent some new baits right away. Very happy with luckycraft. I like certain strike king baits also mostly red eye shads, but have had no problems. Except for one that recently started to rust a little on the rings. Only that one has done that.

Berkley trans optic line
I just spooled some 8lb on a spinning reel, but my wife was the one using it. The little I watched it I could see it ok. I wouldn't go replace my line with it, but when it's time I'd say it's worth trying.

Skeet's new reel
How much can you expect from a $100.00 reel while paying royalties? With that said though, the BPS pro-Q is a darn good reel for the money.....

Revo S vs. Revo STX!!
My 09 stx thoughs weightless soft jerkbaits really well. In your case, I think the one who has their reel set the best and how much better you are at casting is going to be the bigger factor...

Got my new Dobyns Savvy - excitement then disapointment
In your case, I'm sure TW or Dobyns will say ship it back and you'll only pay shipping at most. My guess is they will return ship for free. The only bummer is having to pay the shipping to return, that just goes with mail order though....

I used a clip on, had it under my at my feet by trolling motor pedal. Was swatting skeeters away from my calfs...... What is the thermal cell?

Re: Negative Tackle Warehouse experiences? anyone else?
I have two complaints with TW. 1. Is I wish they had a wish list on the site, so I could add little things that I forget about later when I make a order. 2. Why don't they have a full line store next to my house. Great place.

Swivel snaps on crankbaits
I was just looking at those crosslocks at TW. Has anyone tried those Titanium smartlinks? Seemed to be a good idea.

Swivel snaps on crankbaits
What about flutter spoons? I do have one on those.
