Favorite crankbait in the 5-8ft range

Featured Replies

What crankbait do you guys like in the 5-8ft range. What bait would you use for fishing stained water with 2ft visability and rocky banks with some wood.  :P

Personally I like the Wiggle Wart. But there are so many choices.

If you're around sunken bushes or wood cover, it's hard to beat a Timber Tiger DC8.

Rapala DT 6 in silver or bluegill.

I got a DT6 in bluegill. I also have a DT7 flat. I still dont know when to throw one or the other.  :-?

Bandit 200

Rebel Deep Wee-R

Allen

200 sereies Abndit

And the Strike King crankbaits (know it by sight not by name).

Sexy Shad or similar.  Chartruse with blue splatterback.

Tenn. Shad and LA Shad Bandit 200 series!! No Doubt about it!

Normans deep baby n. I couldn't catch a bass on a bandit 200 if it was in my bath tub. I am serious about that. I have quite a few bandits and cant buy a strike. I will be pounding them on the normans and throw a bandit to them and nothin. I have done this several times too. Not knockin em,just statin my dilemna.

I would say the Bomber Model 4A.

Bandit 200

Storm Wiggle Wart, Rapala DT 6 & Shad Rap will make good selections for this depth range.

I might be a little too old school, but nothing has caught me more fish than a Bomber Model A in the Tennessee Shad color.....

Granted that has been mostly in clear water.  There are "sexy" lures now, "fat free", and "pro Models".... but that bomber has been so productive for me.  Might be too old, but if it works, why change.

I do like the wiggle wart too
