  1. Speed Trap for grass and Lucky Craft SKT MR for burning the bank.
  2. Always nice to meet a fellow Korean/American (lol, I have to be PC). Look me up on facebook and let's KIT and try to hit the water one of these days. I should be doing a Delta trip soon.
  3. Hello gents, Been a long time since I've fished and been on here but I am happy to say after a 3 year hiatus, I am back chasing after those green fish we are all fond of. Here are some pics of the better fish that have been caught in June and July. All the bigger fish have come on big jigs with ridiculously large trailers (Double Wide Beavers and full sized Brush Hogs). * As for the bathroom pic (lol), I had the camera accidentally on the no flash mode and couldn't figure it out so I took the shot in the bathroom. ;D
  4. Jigs, big worms/senkos and anything else bulky that you would normally fish SLOWLY.
  5. R.I. Vixen (both sizes). The single tungsten knocker in the head makes a distinct sound and in my case has helped catch more fish.
  6. By far my B-Switcher 4.0 made by Zipbaits! The Orbit 80SR is also my favorite ripbait. I fish in crystal clear, heavily pressured SoCal reservoirs and these smaller reaction baits consistently catches fish when I fail to produce with traditional Bombers, Normans, Rapalas etc...
  7. I would just fish it with one hook straight down the middle. Having one hook at the end of the bait will most likely kill the action and get hung more often.
  8. It is just amazing how 6 guys broke Kennedy's record! Just an incredible tournament won with the good old worm. Can't wait to see the show Saturday!
  9. Martens is one of the most consistent guys in the Elite Series. I doubt he will lose this event. I am guessing he will bring in 30+ today for the win!
  10. The only question I have is: was KVD fishing reaction baits or did he make the adjustment to fish slow like the guys in the top 5?
  11. Baby for T-Rig and C-Rigs Brush Hog for flipping. Colors- depends.
  12. Without question California! 20+ of the top 25 bass were caught in SoCal. If you want tons and tons of 5-7# fish, check out the Delta, Clear Lake and many of the reservoirs of California. Our winters are mild and fishing year round is never a problem. Often times a 25# bag won't be heavy enough to cut a check at local team tournaments. If you want numbers, check out DVL or Perris right now. All the 3-4# bass you want!
  13. It all depends on the body of water fished and the time of year. There are some lakes I will never take a spinnerbait and there are some lakes I will never go without.
  14. I'll be at the FOCL, don't know about Piru. Want to but Josh and I will have to see how money is. DVL would be great but Josh's boat has a two stroke. Will you be fishing those with Tom? Good luck out there. I am not 100% certain if I am going to be fishing with Tom for the FOCL. I want to fish with someone who is certain he is going to make all the tournaments for the year. As for Piru or DVL, I will be fishing with someone else. Tom is busy with his new kid and time off is usually a problem.
  15. I think Kennedy's record is going to be broken by 3 or 4 anglers this week at Falcon.
  16. Way to represent SoCal Aaron Martens! It just goes to show how versatile Aaron can be. He isn't just a finesse fisherman.
  17. As a few articles already suggested, as long as the wind isn't too much of an issue, I'd suspect both Kennedy and Rojas' will be broken. There was a Stren Series event which took place back in January and it took 110-02 for the win. Most of the fish will be lighter and in a postspawn mode, but considering the talent that will be fishing this incredible body of water, both records being broken is a very good possibility. Flipping brush and chucking a tilipia swimbait (Tru Tungsten) or a chatterbait is my guess on the winning pattern.
  18. Since I mostly fish crystal clear reservoirs in Southern California, I mainly stick with 8 or 10# flurocarbon (Daiwa DEF BASS or Seaguar Invis-X). There are times I will move up to 12# fluorocarbon when fishing larger/ heavier jigs, but that is rare and noticed a significant decrease in bites. I have used 1 ounce jigs as deep as 80' of water at Diamond Valley Lake and had no issues with hook sets when using 10# fluorocarbon. 12-15# fluorocarbon is more sensitive when fishing that deep and shouldn't affect the bite percentage, but it will hamper the sink rate. Since I am fishing main lake points and the fish are stacked on a single pile of rocks most of the time, I need the jig to sink as fast a possible. I recently got back from fishing the FLW National Guards at the Delta and pitching/flipping with 20# fluorocarbon was something else to say the least. We were fishing in cold/muddy water and the fish didn't seem to mind the heavier line one bit. Guys were even getting bit on 65# braid!
  19. This thread is pretty d**n old but wanted to reply to this reply of yours. Isn't it funny how things worked out. You wanted us to go 1/2 at the FOCL event back in September and that is exactly what happened. ;D We made a crucial error. We didn't have a close enough estimate of our limit in the live well. Actually, we were off by 4 pounds! Had we known we had over 17#s, we would have targeted another 4-5# fish with the techniques that caught us the bulk of the fish and possibly have culled our smallest fish which went 2#. Instead, we though we needed a 7-8# kicker and spent the last hour throwing big baits and it didn't pay off. I am glad you guys won that night. Coming in second at my first tournament with a new partner wasn't too shabby. Taking 1st the very next tournament was an awesome feeling! It all starts again next month. Are you fishing the FOCL this year? I plan to fish the Piru as well as the DVL series as well this year. See you out there.
  20. Very nice! From the looks of the picture, looks like the craftsmanship is up there with the Lunker Punker.
  21. Very clever and well written. I really enjoyed it.
  22. No matter how many times I look at the footage, it is time and time again simply amazing to see a fish that size caught on camera. Congrats Butch!
  23. I've been bass fishing for 16 months now and was fortunate enough to enter the DD Club the 7th month I've fished. However, it is much easier to catch a DD fish in California than it in Maryland.
  24. WOW! That is just incredible! You would have easily broken the century mark had these fish been caught during a tournament.
  25. Congrats! She is a beauty!
