Lonestar Shootout

Alton Jones says it's going to take triple digits to win. Who do you guys like to win this one?  I think Steve Kenedy could do well and there is always KVD.

There are many lakes in Texas capable of breaking the BASS tournament record for heaviest total four-day weight with a catch of 122 pounds, 14 ounces and Falcon is one of those.

I'd have to say Steve kennedy is going to take that tournament.  When it comes to big bag tournament, kennedy is always somewhere near the top.  Especially the tournament being in Texas, Kennedy will pull out his swimbaits and slaughter the bass.  I do agree tho that when KVD is in the tournament anything can happen, he's the best in the business.

I figured Fred had them figured out on Amistad last year and will have the same approach with Falcon.

I like the Californian to have strong showing as he did last year when in south Texas, just he'll be alittle further south this time.

STill pulling for my locals in the DFW area as well as the Fork Pros.

It's tough to say. Alton Jones and Steve Kennedy will be at the top for sure though. What do you guys think about Byron V.'s comments about somebody catching a 5 fish sack this week weighing 52lbs?

What do you guys think about Byron V.'s comments about somebody catching a 5 fish sack this week weighing 52lbs?

I wouldnt doubt it.

Largest sack will be 47lbs and winning total will weigh 130lbs. If the weather holds up.

Will this tournament be televised.  If so what channel can I find it on, if not where can I find info and updates for it?

check into bassmaster.com around weight in time   they should have live streams   and on the final day they will stream video of tournament action online

As a few articles already suggested, as long as the wind isn't too much of an issue, I'd suspect both Kennedy and Rojas' will be broken.

There was a Stren Series event which took place back in January and it took 110-02 for the win. Most of the fish will be lighter and in a postspawn mode, but considering the talent that will be fishing this incredible body of water, both records being broken is a very good possibility.

Flipping brush and chucking a tilipia swimbait (Tru Tungsten) or a chatterbait is my guess on the winning pattern.

WOW!!! 42 pounds to take the lead after day 1! Big bass of 13-2! All but 1 angler caught a limit!  WOW!!!

Way to represent SoCal Aaron Martens!

It just goes to show how versatile Aaron can be. He isn't just a finesse fisherman.

92 places & still a 4 lb average & 56 places with a 5 lb average ;)

And people not to complain but how about just put up a link instead of listing everyone here.

That's pretty impressive for sure!  I didn't even know they had trout in Falcon Lake ;D

WOW!!! I had been hearing about Falcon. Looks like a nice place to go fish!

Those are some of the highest weights I've seen!

I wanna go there.  :P

Co-Angler is Randall Jackson 5 bass: 32-10 with a 12-3 kicker ;)

Yeah, and Boyd Duckett was saying this would be the worst day!

Who's your biggest surprise after day 1?

Mark Davis in 4th place with a 35-4 sack! Aint he a crank bait wizard in a flipping tournament?

Denny Brauer in 97th with 17-5 in a flipping tournament!

What's up with that picture?  ;)
