B.A.S.S. fantasy fishing
Well, they reset their fantasy fishing site, so do we want a group for this site? Their is not one listed for Bass Resource. I'd start one, but I don't want to step on any toes....Any interest?

New Rick Clunn crankbait
I don't know how well the new carnkbait will preform vs. the LC. I'd say a higher amount of credit goes to LC because the quality they put into making it, some of reason for higher cost. The new model being cheaper will probably suffer in quality and quality control from bait to bait, hence the lower price. Clunn's input is worth note in design, but id it can't be repeated from bait to bait it leaves you with the other baits average. Some work well, some don't in same model line.

Bass Pro Spring Classic Flyer?
I seem to recall last years came out about 10-12days before the start.

You're Invited to the 6th Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Too bad that med. action bucoo isn't rated for a little more weight. I think I'm going to get a rod for my step son for shallow and med cranks.

Clunn goes with.......Wright and McGill???
Well, if he is no longer with BPS. Then I say those BPS exclusive LuckyCraft RC series baits need to be discounted to say $5.00 a piece, especially since they don't catch fish....

Upgrade Revo's
Is there a upgrade for those parts? I have several going on season 2 and 3, so far so good. Hope it stays that way.

Sending a rod back???
I use usps all the time. I usually get hit with that large package surcharge(just recently). It costs me 22.0-28.00 depending in insurance.

BPS Enigma Smart Cast BC Reel Sale?
It isn't the best looking reel for sure. I was thinking of getting one for mu son, and guests that aint familiar with baitcasters. Glad to hear it works as described, I do wish it was a different color though.

Mid Priced Reels
For that money, Pro-Q hands down. They have 10lbs drag I think, which is what 1 lb. less than curados? A $10.00 set of carbontex drags and have a outstanding reel. Even without the upgrade it's a great reel. I've caught 5-6lbrs at fork with no problems. It casts great light baits included, pretty smooth. A good reel. I havne't used either citica or revo-s. Handle it if ya can, if it's comfortable you won't regret buying it.

Using braid with a flouro leader?? Let's hear it folks!!!
Is it better to use "leader" fluro, or is some left over spool fluro fine to use?

Favorie Braid for Spinning Reel
Usually use 30lb test on all of my setups. I believe anything 30lb+ with Sufix actually has 8 fibers vs. 4 in PP or lower lb tests. Using it on two 2500 sized spinning reels at the moment with zero issues. In fact at this point I almost hate to use anything EXCEPT braid on spinning reels, even mono is a hassle after using braid for a while.

CarbonTex drags for BPS Pro-Q
Has anybody here ordered any yesterday? I ordered 2 more sets, and dawn said alot of revo kits were ordered yesterday. I thought maybe it was some of you that now know they fit they Pro-Q's.
-
Lamiglas Excel or Falcon Bucoo
I have 3 excels, 1 spinning and 2 casting. I actually found them to be underrated for their power ratings. More in line with the veritas... I like them for the money.
-
CarbonTex drags for BPS Pro-Q
I didn't put them in myself, just ordered them, handed them off and "presto" they were in. Contact Smoooth drags, they can tell ya.

CarbonTex drags for BPS Pro-Q

Revo Premier?
You can get a used '10 model premier for $150.00 range. As far as new, the stx is a great reel in the '10 or older models. I have a couple sx' and I'm weeding them out for stx's and premier's. There ok(sx), but I like the BPS Pro-Q better. I can't tell too much differance between the premier and stx('10 model), I never had a 09 or older premier.

suffix 832 in review
I was just reading the new B.A.S.S. times and it has a article on sinking braid. Inset on 832, says it was designed with sinking properties in mind. It's main goal was to be castable, abrasion resistant, and manageable.
-
Spiderwire Ultracast Fluro-Braid users???
Quite a bit of talk about the Sufix 832. Has anyone tried the spiderwire Fluro-Braid yet. If so, what did ya think? Does it sink well, and does it bleed much? How's it on spinning gear?

Lake Fork 12-18 March
I stayed at Fishermans cove last year. Nice place and friendly people. Restaurant is nice. Won't be dissappointed. The rooms are kinda like a older log cabin. Looks like a older place, but pretty clean, and kept up pretty well. I'm going to try Lake Fork marina this year in mid april. Heard good things about them too, and the restaurant is suppose to be top notch. There's a number of good places though, fisherman are the lively hood of those places, so most that you hear have a good reputation I'd say will be fine. Oh, by the way. You better call NOW. There going to book up fast, if not already. I had to change my times, and that was 2-3 weeks ago.

NRX problem
I broke a St. Croix Mojo bass spinning rod last year on a hook set. About the second trip out with it. St. Croix replaced for no charge what so ever. Just me shipping it back to them. Called and offered me a credit for it's amount and apply that toward a higher end rod if I so desired. I now own a LTB, very happy with it. Kinda a blessing in disguise. I'm satisfied with the NRX deal, it was just aggravating it broke the first time I put a reel to it.
