Does anyone know which CarbonTex drags fit a BPS pro-qualifier. I called carbontex, and they didn't have a reference for it. Said they could match it if I gave them the size, but they believed it was the same as a Abu revo. Just wondering if anyone already went though this?

The Revo kit should be right. If you don't want to mess around measuring the stock ones, I'm sure someone with a Revo would take them off your hands.

I have upgraded my drag washers to carbontex, and measured the following:

The Bass Pro Shops reel has 4 fabric washers.

1.      On the underside of the main gear, the drag washer measures 8.0 mm (ID) x 19.7 mm (OD) x 0.7 mm (th) or 21/64" (ID) x 50/64" (OD) x 2/64" (th).   

2.      The other 3 drag washer are stacked on the topside of the main gear.  The innermost drag washer measures 8.5 mm (ID) x 23.6 mm (OD) x 0.5 mm (th) or 21/64" (ID) x 60/64" (OD) x 1/64" (th).   

3.      The middle drag washer measures 8.2 mm (ID) x 24.0 mm (OD) x 0.5 mm (th) or 21/64" (ID) x 60/64" (OD) x 1/64" (th).   

4.      The outer drag washer measures 8.2 mm (ID) x 23.6 mm (OD) x 0.4 mm (th) or 21/64" (ID) x 60/64" (OD) x 1/64" (th). 

I was sent the following:

Bass Pro

3 main washers:   23 mm OD

   8.2 mm ID

   .5 mm thick

Under gear:  20.55 mm OD   

    8.2 mm ID

    .5 mm thick

I had to do a little trimming once I received the washers.

Did the STX set come with the fiber washers or just the main washers?

I didn't put them in myself, just ordered them, handed them off and "presto" they were in. Contact Smoooth drags, they can tell ya.

thinkin about upgrading the drag washers with smoooth drag for my BPS Extreme... its a little older version but do you think I will be able to use the same ones you used for your Pro Qualifier?

If you take apart your reel, you can measure the washers with a caliper and let Dawn at Smooth Drag know what sizes you need.

Yea I ordered an STX kit yesterday to go in a Pro Qualifier Tournament.
