Where To Fish On Lake?

Featured Replies

Hello, so I've came across a structure map of this lake. I won't try to hide anything since the map is open to the public. I was wondering if any of you could help me on where to fish on this map, without actually seeing the lake. I would like to know if you could give me, what you would think are good prespawn, spawn, postspawn, summer, and fall spots. I'm a little new to the game, being 15, we have finally got a boat "haha." The lake is 899 acres, so it is quite large. I'm not to sure about where to go, but if you look at the map, if you go up to the right of the launch, its mostly "deepwater" structure, will that be good in the summer? I am trusting this forum and the people on it to be good genuine help, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Zach

^Also ignore the statement that says, "proposed structure" I'm pretty sure they put it in

If it would be easier to respond with help, my email is fe3tper2nd@aol.com

The good ole queen. I love this lake. It fishes tough in the summertime but this is the lake is where I learned to fish for bass. I still go there once or twice a month after work. I hate to give up all my secrets but I will for you. Ignore the cribs thoughout the lake. The bass just don't get on them in the summertime. There's largemouth and smallmouth in the lake. When I come here I first determine whether I wanna target smallmouth or largemouth. If its overcast or rainy I'm going to go smallmouth fishing. When the weather gets crappy the smallmouth really get aggressive and chase bait. Try to find busting minnows on the surface in 8 to 20 feet of water. My two favorite baits for them is a small lucky craft pointer or a lucky craft Sammy. If the fish are super hungry throw the top water Sammy. If they're not hitting the surface real good try the jerk bait.... Now if the weather is hot and sunny go largemouth fishing and the queen has some giants in it. Now I'm not going to share my secret baits but use your favorite soft plastics on Texas rig. Target weed beds. The fish will change up, the last two times I went to this lake(which was last Sunday and this past Wednesday) I caught bass on weed edges. A very good weed cove to try is when u head out of the launch go left and around the beach. The entire cove is loaded with 15 inch largemouth. If u have anymore questions pm me, good luck out there buddy
