Pulled The Trigger

Featured Replies

today I pulled the trigger on my first personal bass boat!  a 2006 tr196 with a 200 opti.  I've been fishing out of my pa in laws nitro nx882 and am very comfortable with that boat.  I love this triton, although it gets hairy after 65!  Is there anything I should pay special attention to when servicing the opti.  all I ever did to the xr6 was replace the water pump impeller and change the lower unit oil.  What about warm up?  I'm amazed at how easy the opti cranks compared to the xr6 and it growls!!!

Congrats to you. That is a good boat just trim very carefully as your gaining speed. The more you run the boat the more comfortable you will feel. Safety first. Good luck sir
