- Welcome Back Power-Pole!
I have 8 foot power poles on my Ranger and love them. Welcome back guys- Stonewall Jackson Lake
Stonewall was an awesome lake, then it dropped of a bit. The lake came back strong in the last few years. I haven't fished it in a while, so I am going by other guys reports. You will see why Stonewall gets so muddy when you get there. All the runoff from the valleys and ditches and the lakes has lots of hollows.Good luck sir- Ned Rig!!! (Update)
I think the ned rig works better in clear water situations. I always use the lightest weight I can get away with.- Unfortunate incident with fellow angler.
So sorry for people who act like idiots. I had a guy call me an MFer and other cuss words when he pulled in front of me in a tournament. I told him if he is that inconsiderate I feel sorry for him and left. I was by myself and there was two guys in his boat. They were in another tournament.- Fishing show Columbus Fairgrounds
There is a great fish and fishing boat show February 10,11 and 12th at the Bricker building in Columbus. The Bricker building was just finished being built last year. It is a great show lots of tackle and this the the 3rd year running it.- Mosquito Lake
Be very careful on Mosquito it shallows up fast. I love the weedbeds. The cove at the campground launch holds bass and walleye. There are both stumps and grass in this are. I caught a 61/2 pound bass right at that area in 3 feet of water. Dropshot , tube.shakey head, and topwater are my favorites. Lots of gents throw rattletraps also.- Modify Your Next Years Fishing Routine Or Not?
Structure scan and down scan have changed the way I fish. Instead of beating the banks like I have for years. I now like to ledge fish, it takes patience to fish deeper. I think it pays off with bigger fish and more fish. I fished a lake for 35 years and just this year found a bridge 17 feet deep and it pays off. It pays to study and know your electronics.- Do You Disinfect Your Fingers? Lol
I have a friend that cut his hand between thumb and finger with braided line. He got hung up and tried to pull it loose. First he lost his thumb and finger. Next about 2 months later after IV,s and antibiotics he lost his hand. The last time I saw him at the lake he showed the mess to me, now they are taking his arm. All because he didn't clean a cut good enough. I am diabetic I take insulin and I am really cautious and you guys should be also.- Do You Disinfect Your Fingers? Lol
I keep hand sanitizer in my boat. Any time I get a scrape or cut I use it.- Why Does Line Break On Cast?
I check my guides with a cotton ball. If you have a crack the cotton will stick in it. I check my guides about once a month.- Do All Ponds Have Fish???
I hear some ponds especially sediment ponds are too acidic to hold any aquatic life.- I Have Some Questions
Welcome aboard I am new to this site also. You will learn quite a bit here. Good luck on Lake Anna.- Finally!!! A 7Lb 12Oz Whopper!!!
Congrats to you and your wife.- Networking Electronics
I linked my two units mostly for marking waypoints, That is the only advantage I see with linking.- 1998 Fisher 1700 Dominator
Fisher boats are generally well built. Just ask the seller to take you on the water for a test run. Check out livewells, bilge area for water intrusion. Ask him to put fuel in the tank if it is buit in. Some built in tanks on Fisher boats were hard to put gas in tank. I owned a 1992 brand new SVT17 and it was a darn nice boat, but I had too many problems with it. A 1998 should have all bugs worked out and you should be fine. Fishers are expensive boats and they handle rough water very well. Hope this helps you sir.- Mojo Rig & Shakey Head
We need more info on the types of water you are fishing, lakes, rivers ect. You cant go wrong with a shakey head on a lake or river in the summer. I use a shakey head on both bodies of water and I also use a spot remover. I have not fished a mojo rig in quite a while.- Why Do You Sort Out For Fishing Tournaments??
I have never been a non-boater, but my experience with co-anglers in the BFL has been a good learning curve. Meeting different people from different geographic areas is also fun.- Interesting Article!
Very interesting-food for thought I guess.- Fishing Docks As A Co-Angler
Outstanding article on a day as a co. Are you a journalist?- How Much Should I Pay?
You stold that boat, good deal.- Recessed Trolling Motor Tray Install - Comfortroll
I in stalled my tray last year, this is my second summer with it an d I think it is the best upgrade I ever did to my boat. My back thinks so too. - Ohio River Tank!
