From what I have seen of the Z boats, they are a great deal for the money. My buddy just bought a Z-7 and I will fishing in it next week and I could give better info then.

I had optis for 5 years and one went bad. This time I went with Duracells from Sams Club. I love agm batteries just charge and forget. I have had the duracells for 10 months now and they are great.

I know several gents who have the R72 and they like theirs, ease of towing, fuel economy, and still a good solid fishing platform that holds its value better than any other 17 footer out there. Ranger parts dept is also awesome with their parts on your boat or trailer. I hope this info helps.
