  2. I will be traveling to lake anna in less than a week now. We are staying in a lake house on Contrary Creek and would love to have some insight on how the fishing is this time of year at lake anna! Thanks in advance!
  3. http://www.topoquest.com/map.php?lat=38.06192&lon=-77.82936&datum=nad83&zoom=2&map=auto&coord=d&mode=zoomin&size=m that is the topography map of a very common place to fish, contrary creek. Sam, has a lot of knowledge about lake anna and he should inform you soon enough
  4. like stren said. baby brush hog!! or maybe lizards
  5. I see people bank fishing there, mostly for cats. I am pretty sure they have some good luck
  6. I have heard recently that all ponds, BY LAW, have to be stocked for mosquito regulations. Is this true? If this is the case, every single pond you see on the side of the road holds fish?
  7. this has never happened to be but i want it to! sounds like great fun xD
  8. My dad and I are renting a fishing boat for this weekend and I really need to know some good spots at Bob's fishing hole! Bob's fishing hole is on the Northwest River. We have been there once but we only had a small jon boat and no motor. Now that we are going to have some mobility, our options have greatly increased. I would love some insight on some hot spots! Thanks
  9. The reason we go to bobs is because it is only 20 bucks to rent a jon boat. I dont have a ton of money to spend on charters either because i am only 18.
  10. I also live in the 757 and i suggest bobs fishing hole and back bay. for ponds, las gaviotas in great bridge is loaded with big fish!
  11. I suppose I could, however, the people arent too friendly but yeah i will give it a shot haha.
  12. no. I was wondering if there were any good spots that were not too far from the ramp
  13. I will be going to bobs fishing hole on the Northwest River sometime in the near future and I would like to have some insight on where to fish there. My dad and i will be renting a small jon boat and we only have a trolling motor. So we cannot go too far for the boat ramp. I was wondering if you guys had any experience at bobs fishing hole! any advice will be much appreciated! Thanks
  14. pick up some stanley ribbit frogs. they are frogs that act more like a buzz bait. you can pick them up and good ol' walmart! those things are what work best for me.
  15. walking the frog has always worked best for me. just like a spook. Also i would recommend picking up some stanley ribbit frogs. they act more like a buzzbait by the legs kicking. those will do some damage
