I don't have a lot of expierience fishing these plastics compared to other bait styles. I have been using Yamamoto's & Kalins on the back of swim jigs and I used to use the Berkely's a few years back on a 1/4 oz mushroomhead jig but got away from this presentation the last few years when the Yamamoto Hula Grubs came out.

I'm curious as to your favorite size and which ones have the best action with lighter jigheads and your rigging preferences. Thanks

Kalins in 3" 4" and 5" are my #1 single tail. Zoom Fat Albert a close second but are hard to find lately.

I like the Kalins and Berkely single tail grubs.  I also like the Kinami ones really well.  They just don't last as long as the other 2 but they definitely produce.

Zoom Fat Albert (5") - I fish them weightless and t-rigged on a 1/0 EWG; I toss them with spinning gear. I've caught brim, crappie, warmouth, and bass up to 3lbs so far this season on this bait. It's actually my most used bait right now...

I have about a half bag left of some Mr Twister curly tails that glow in the dark. Seemed like a ridiculous purchase at the time, but the stupid things actually work.  ;D

Zoom makes a 3 inch swimming shiner grub I tried for the first time today. Caught 3 in a short time. The tail action is ridiculous.

I also use Berkely 2 inch for perch, 3 and 4 inch for bass in winter. Also have some fat 5 inch Kalin's I use in winter for bigger fish. Junebug hologram is the money color for Kalin's.

Kalins in 3" 4" and 5" are my #1 single tail. Zoom Fat Albert a close second but are hard to find lately.

thats the truth.  I prefer them, but I have been buying Kalins lately because of their availability.  Hate to buy online, but I will ahve to start doing it pretty soon if it means I can get the Fat Alberts again.

Yamamoto hands down. However, all the salt unfortunately means that they don't last very long.But 20 grubs for $6 is still a pretty good deal.

All I use are Kalin's and Yum My Grubs. I rig mine with the tail down.

I fish them tail up 90% of the time.

I like just about all of them, but Berkley Power grubs are my favorites, followed closely by yamamoto and kalin's.

Mr. Twisters are still really good too though, but I think the berkleys and kalin's have better action on the drop or at slow speeds.

I wish I didn't have to buy 20 at a time, but I still think Yamamoto are the best. Especially for the lighter jigheads, which is what you asked about. in the larger sizes I like the Kalins. I've caught countless bass with a Yamamoto twin tail grub on a 1/4 jig over the years. and yeah, I know you asked about single tail, and they work too.

Those things are killer for 'eyes.

You can not go wrong with mr twister grubs and plus that bananna sent is pretty kool

I prefer the Berkley 4" bass grub (bigger tail than walleye grub) because they are more readily accessable to me.  The tails on all injection molded grubs I've used have been thicker/stiffer than I prefer.  I remedy this during the winter by lightly sanding the tails to about 2/3 their original thickness with a drum sanding attachment on my Dremmel.  The thinner tail with it's rougher surface undulates wildly at far less weight and speed than originally.

tend to go with the kalin's 3" in clearer waters.

fat alberts in the more stained waters and will add a single arkie's gold blade to the jighead...have caught bass to 6# on that set-up.
