Night Terminator Spinnerbait

Featured Replies

Years ago (2003-2004) Terminator used to make a black spinnerbait with a short arm single colorado blade.  This thing was absolutely deadly at night.  I have been looking for them and cant find it anywhere.  Terminator spinnerbaits were big back then but they seem to have diminished.  What happened?  If anyone knows where i can find this specific spinnerbait please let me know.  I do see some imitations but still not the same.

Not sure about that specific bait but SK has a series of night spinner baits that are pretty good. Alternative in case you come up empty

If it is the terminator T1 thumper, TW has them, although I picked one up in one of the $4.96 boxes at my local walmart. Hope that helps you.

My local gander mountain has a nice selection of terminator spinnerbaits. My fav is a black with red specs that has a single Colorado blade. I don't think its a short arm though.

Try strike kings new line of night spinnerbaits. Come pre hook with trailer hook and has the perfect skirt so u can fish it right out of the box. They put out a ton of vibration also. Really good bait. Lil expensive tho pushing close to seven dollars but they are worth it

This might be the one I was talking about. Do they have it advertised as a night spinnerbait? I remember it having red specs after you mentioned it.

I honestly don't remember the packaging. I'm currently en route to a fishing hole and the lure is on my rod so when I get there I can snap a pic for you and try to upload it if I have service there.

The Terminator Thumper is a new design of the old short arm model, back then Terminator was owned by Outdoor Innovations LLC which in 2005 or 2006 was purchased by the Normark group which includes Rapala. Terminator is still popular but it has declined as most who have used them have suffered the dreded blade and swivel loss from unclosed loops that you quickly find out that you can't fix due to the snap back properties of titanium. That was one reason but the advent of super stainless wire that allowed manufacturers to make a spinnerbait with a lot of vibration while still being somewhat durable at an affordable price really put a dent in Terminator spinnerbaits. The night time spinnerbait you want is the new short arm thumper and while it doesn't say that it is just a redesign of the old model and truth be told, any bait with a sigle thumper blade can work well at night like the Booyah Moon Talker or the Zorro Aggravator.
