I'm looking to try some braid with fluorocarbon leaders on a spinning rod used for shaky head, flick shake, tubes and on a casting rod used for mostly senkos and flukes.  Which size braid and fluoro leader do you folks reccomend? 

 

I'm thinking:

 

spinning- 10 or 20lb braid and 8lb fluoro leader

 

casting- 30 or 40 braid and 15lb fluoro leader

 

Mostly interested in size reccomendations.  Not to worried about brand at the moment.

You're dead on.  Those are the sizes I run, give or take 2 pounds for certain situations.  For the casting if I'm running cranks I go 20-30 with a 10-12 leader.

Yup.

 

I use 10 on spinning gear with 8, 10 or 12 lb fluoro leader

 

I use 20 on my BC gear, same leaders
