Everyone wants to see sharks until they get too close to one then they wish they never went in the water lol

They are all over now, shrimp'n season is on. The black tips follow the shrimp boats around here.

But on of my only times out surf fishing we were out waist deep and 10' away there was a black tip.

These are the juviniles that you see near shore.

You ever fish from the beach for them?

yeah we fish for them sometimes mostly get bulls though...but been swimming with them a lot and only times we have had problems with them and bulls is when spear fishing/beach fishing and they try to eat our fish lol...other than that they are usually just cruising by

usually when we see them fishing we are on the flats but usually those are lemon sharks

as long as you dont get crazy around them or make them curious of you is not bad...we dont try to feed them or touch them and i understand if i get bit that im in their place and they use their mouth to figure out what stuff they are seeing is :D

Didn't see any sharks when I last went snorkeling, but did see a large grouper, yellowtail and a hogfish. In Jensen Beach, we get the blacktip and spinner sharks real thick during the bait runs. I've had pretty large ones (around 6 ft) come up in the surf on one side of me and out with the wave on the other when I was less than knee deep. Unfortunately, this year's bait runs have been weak which means less tarpon as well.

I only stay on top of the water, lol.  Haven't seen any sharks since the spinners left but coming into bonita soon.  They are bleeders and not uncommon to see 6 or 8 bullshark circling the boat, scares the crap out of me.
