And largemouth....and salmon.....and just about any other specie you could possibly be interested in. Quinny is a fine fishery as well.

I agree it has everything. The smallies are rare in Mass. I'm too cheap to pay for a NH non-resident license so the limited smallie ponds/lakes are a plus for me. :)

I'm the guy to get annoyed when people keep smallies. I'd give that person a 4# LMB to have them put the 1# smallie back.

Wachusett and Sudbury Res(Shore Fishing only)have a very healthy population of Smallies. For Larry's I fish Chauncy, A-1 and Sudbury River. Sud Riv has some decent Esox in it.

Where exactly is A-1 site ive heard lots about it but never brought the boat up there, and is the sudbury river fast or slow moving?

Its off Mill Rd in Westborough, which is off RT30. It's ideal for small boats and yaks. Watch out for hidden stumps. It's been a tough fish this year other than early mornings.

Sudbury river is slow moving.
