floating trick worms... not professional?

Featured Replies

By far one of my most deadly lure/rig in my tackle box has got to be rigging a zoom trick worm weightless. I tie on a 1/0 (red!) offset shank worm EWG gamakatsu hook. Usually on 6lb mono or 8lb floro. I can fish it real slow with its horizontal fall or real fast on top of the water and twitch it. Whatever i do it always seems to catch me more bass than any other rig in my tackle box. By far this is my top go to bait. It seems to me like this is an awesome finesse technique... but yet i never see any of the pros using this rig? why is this?

here is bass i caught last saturday night on a zoom black 6inch trick worm weightless!

Part of the reason why you don 't "see" pros fishing a weightless trickworm is beacuse of TV magic ( video editing ). that 's why you see them apparently catching one fish after anoteher and all of them good size fish.

TV magic... LOL

A lot of pros like to fish weightless wacky setups with trick worms. Wacky trick worms also work nice on drop shots.

Must be how Bill Dance does it. He catches fish every cast, and none are dinks! :;)
