Megastrike - Which Scent?

Featured Replies

Just wondering which scent of megastrike seems to work the best for you guys. I see it mentioned about every other post, so I went to order some and see there are three available: garlic, crawfish, and original.

Bobby (the owner) recommended the original l. Said it was his favorite. I took that to heart. Works pretty d**n good for me. My next order, I'll get all 3 for grins

I had the same question, but decided since I already have a Fish Stick in "Craw Scent", I went with original.  Looks like I made the right choice!

I have original and craw scents. I've seen no difference, in use, between the two.

Both scents work very well, I should add.

No problems with the craw here.

cool. I may pick up a tube of the original to start with.

Since the stuff doesn't come off in water, how can you wash it off when you put a lure back in storage? I used a similar product from berkley that I thought was washed off a spinnerbait skirt, but it ended up a stinky sticky mess on my spinnerbait skirt by the next time I used that lure.

I didn't realize they had two flavors, so I inadvertantly grabbed the Craw. It works well and I have written a review. It tastes pretty good on polish sausage.

I also had a question.  When you guys are done with the scented plastic for whatever reason, do you put it back in the original packaging and reapply the next time or you keep it separate so you know which one already has the scent on it?

If your done with the lure, and you lick off the remaining megastrike, and video it, Bobby will send you a free tube.

I put them back in the original bag because they all get healthy doses frequently. Perhaps too frequently. I re-apply every 20 casts or so, or when I miss a bite and it's been a while.

That's a good question. I have a few crankbaits that have thick film of dirty old Megastrike. I was trying to figure out a way to clean it off without ruining the finish of the lure.

A medium scrubbie pad, a healthy dose of liquid soap, and some warm (not hot) water.

From past experience, it is much easier with the hooks REMOVED. Either remove them from the lure or you will be removing them from your hand!
