Hey guys,

 

   My name is Mark and I just moved to Mechanicsburg, PA from TX.  Beginning my quest to find bass waters around here!  I moved here about a week and a half ago.  I lived in TX for about 9 months and before that lived in Southern CA.  That's where I retired from the Marine Corps. 

   Fishing for bass just drives me nuts!  I fish everywhere I can and as much as I can!  I really started cutting my bass fishing teeth in NC, when I lived in Jacksonville.  There they had Poor Boy tournaments every Sunday!  Mainly in the Fall and Winter.  I absolutely loved it!!!  After that I moved to South Carolina, California, and then Texas.

   Now I'm here in PA.  Never been this far up north.  This place ain't too bad!  My first place I went to was Pinchot State Park.  Pretty nice. I took my daughters there to fish.  As I was there, I noticed there were a bunch of boats starting to gather up.  I figured it was some kind of potluck tournament (it was a Tuesday).  I asked one of the guys there about it and it was.  He also told me that there is another weekly tournament that goes on Thursdays.  Can anyone tell me?  Seeing this is really great since I really haven't seen anything like this in TX or in CA.  I'm sure it was happening, but just couldn't find anything!  I'd love to start and meet new people!

   I do have a bass boat, but I'd love to partner up and learn how things go up here!

Welcome! I am from south of Pittsburgh and I hope you enjoy it up here. I belong to a small club called yough bass. We fish alot of lakes in the western part of the state. You can google it we have a website. We are always looking for new members and you will get a chance to see some of the better lakes in the area.
