Hurricane season has already started quietly but we now have our first tropical wave off the African coast.

Here is the loop.

Hope it misses the good ole USA along with the others that will start to develop.

Hitting eastern North Carolina on Day 10.

Stay tuned for the location.

Let me know if I need to take shelter, Sam.  We got some lakes that could use the rain here.  :laugh5:

Seriously, I hope it misses the South a bit.  I know Lake Hartwell (from speaking with my Dad) was like 4ft over flood stage.  Little place he bank fishes is up over the road.  (Down near Choestoea Ramp near Foxwood Hills)

Hope all can pull through this with minimal impact.

Scrogg, my double secret pond has too much water in it, too.

Have to take paddle boat or raft to get to the big ones hiding in the wood.

If Dave Toloris of www.wxrisk.com is correct the hurricane will take a right and head up Florida's Atlantic coast and hit North Carolina next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Local weather guys use the USA computer model which is flawed. Dave uses the European model that usually has a better prediction record.

September 10 is the height of Atlantic storms so sit back and see what is going to happen this year.

It's rainy season and we have been getting our share this year.  The canals are being drained and all this freshwater is spewing out of the inlets into the ocean.  From the standpoint of fishing, the Captains, commercial fishermen and recreational fishermen to a tee have all been declaring this has been the worst fishing season they have ever seen in South Florida, I'm 100% in agreement with that.

Not that I'm looking forward for huge amounts of rain, but I am looking forward to anticipated groundswells, as a rule they bring fish in.
