Featured Replies

Is it necessary to have a compression test done on a used outboard that is run all the time and has been maintained and if so how much should it cost?

thanks

if you plan on buyin it I would without a doubt get the test done.

price varies....I have called places, hours scan and compression check was $80-100 and other places it was $200+.

I would be interested to see what other guys are paying as well.

I paid 40 bucks for a leakdown on my Mercury 50hp 2stroke.
